Most successive US albums to debut at No.1 by a solo artist

According to Official Guinness Records,

Eminem (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) became the first act to debut at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart with eight successive solo releases when Revival was the best-seller for the chart week dated 3 January 2018, with sales of 267,000 equivalent album units. Previously, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Recovery (2010), Relapse (2009), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Encore (2004), The Eminem Show (2002) and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) had all bowed at No.1.The record excludes various artist/soundtrack/compilation album on which Eminem appeared alongside other performers: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture 8 Mile (2002;debuted at No.1);Eminem presents The Re-Up (2006;debuted at No.2);Shady XV (2014;debuted at No.3);Southpaw: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture (2015;debuted at No.5). Revival was Eminem's ninth studio album. Only his chart debut, The Slim Shady LP (1999;debuted at No.2), failed to enter the Billboard 200 at No.1. His debut album, Infinite (1996), failed to chart. The Beatles (Beatles VI to The White Album, 1965–68) are the only other act to reach No.1 in the USA with eight consecutive albums, but none of the releases debuted at No.1.
