The tallest toilet roll pyramid is 4.36 m (14 ft 3.75 in), achieved by Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Meijer (both USA) in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, on 24 May 2018.The base of the pyramid measures approximately 4.87 m (16 ft) long on each side. It took 14 people 10 hours to build the pyramid. It includes exactly 25,585 rolls of toilet tissue (42 layers), and weighs a total of 5,106.27 kg (11,257.4 lbs). If all the rolls were stacked one on top of the other, it would be a tower 2.73 km (1.7 miles) tall, and if all the rolls were unwound, the single sheets would go on for 2,644.95 km (1,643.5 miles). All the bath tissue rolls used in the pyramid were fully recycled and re-manufactured into new tissue product. The full retail value of all the rolls used in the pyramid will be donated to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry.Kimberly-Clark and Meijer took on the challenge to break this record to celebrate the opening of the new Meijer Grand Chute location (where the pyramid was built), as well as the release of a new and improved Cottonelle bath tissue product.
