Most Oscar nominations for best director for an actor in the same film

According to Official Guinness Records,

Woody Allen (USA) has been nominated for Best Director on five occasions for films he also had a leading role in:- Annie Hall (USA 1977) in 1978, Interiors (USA 1978) in 1979, Broadway Danny Rose (USA 1984) in 1985, Hannah and her Sisters (USA 1986) in 1987 and Crimes and Misdemeanors (USA 1989) in 1990. His sixth Best Director nomination was for Bullets over Broadway (USA 1993) in which he did not have an acting role.
